Michael Morgan is based in Batesford – regional Victoria, Australia, and is working across sculpture, environmental objects, installation, mosaic, video and painting. His @Dog Rocks studio, located adjacent to hauntingly beautiful Dog Rocks nature reserve, houses many of his site-specific works. Michael’s thought-provoking and bold art practice expresses ideas about interconnections of all forms of life, critically addressing the human intellect, and the relationships between the human and nature. Michael is interested in re-birthing beauty through discarded, forgotten, humble and industrially made objects and materials and the use of four elements – earth, water, air and fire. Expression of this beauty is often tied to noting the process in time and space and the fragility of all physical forms.
